Jouw rol als Junior Mobile Access Engineer

As a Junior Mobile Access Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, building, and managing the mobile networks of the future. You will get the chance to gain hands-on experience in three core areas of Mobile Access:

Network Solutions: Help design and develop innovative mobile network solutions.
Network Optimization: Contribute to improving the performance and efficiency of our network.
Build & Repair: Support the rollout and maintenance of network components across the Netherlands.

You will work closely with a tight-knit team and contribute ideas for smart, practical solutions. You will also collaborate with colleagues from other departments and actively help improve the quality and innovation of our services.

We are looking for an ambitious, curious, and proactive Junior Mobile Access Engineer who thrives in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.

Here is what we would love to see:

You have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Wireless Communication and Sensing, or Embedded Systems.
You are genuinely curious about mobile networks and telecom technology.
You take initiative, think ahead, and spot opportunities to improve.
You are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

van ons?

What you will get from KPN:

A gross monthly salary between €3,936 and €5,809, depending on your experience (based on a 40-hour workweek)
A guaranteed 13th-month bonus—part paid out monthly, part in January. Or use it for your FLEX & BOOST goals—your choice!
8% holiday allowance, paid out monthly by default (or in a different schedule if you prefer)
Annual salary increases, both individual and collective, in line with our collective labor agreement (CAO)
€1,500 per year in personal development budget—spend it on training, coaching, or courses that help you grow
Flexible vacation days—you decide when and how to take time off, in consultation with your manager
A home office setup to make remote work comfortable, including a mobile phone and laptop
50% discount on KPN products and services—so you can stream, call, and browse at a great price
Travel reimbursement: full coverage of public transport costs or €0.23/km if you drive. Prefer cycling? Get €0.40/km with our bike allowance
Option to lease a bike (for permanent contracts), with monthly contributions from KPN—whether it’s a city bike, e-bike, road bike, or speed pedelec
Excellent pension plan: 23% of your pensionable salary contributed—KPN pays 16%, you pay 7%
