Our employment benefits

Recently, we have registered our new Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) for 2024-2025! There is something to choose for each of the five generations working at KPN. Would you like to have more freedom in taking vacation days? Or do you want help with paying off your student loan? Or rahter invest in KPN? This CLA makes that possible. Currently, as a KPN colleague, you benefit from the following advantages:

  • €1500 per year employability budget, you can use this at your own discretion. For example to pay your tuition fees.
  • You receive a 10.5% allowance of your gross monthly salary
  • 50% discount on our products and services, like internet, mobile and streaming services.
  • You receive fully paid additional parental leave (5 weeks), also for adoption.

  • There is leave available for various groups, such as LGBT+ families or colleagues undergoing transition.
  • Good travel expense reimbursement: you are fully reimbursed for your public transportation costs or €0.23 per kilometer if you travel by car. Prefer coming by bike? Then you can claim our bicycle reimbursement of €0.40 per kilometer!
  • Possibility to purchase a lease bike with monthly contributions from KPN (if you have a indefinite contract): From city bike to e-bike and from road bike to speed pedelec, you choose what you ride.

Benefits as of 2025

In addition to the above benefits, additional benefits will be added from 2025:

  • Flexible vacation days: our colleagues may determine themselves (in consultation with the manager) how they handle leave. There is no longer a fixed number of vacation days and vacation days are no longer recorded.
  • The introduction of the Flex & Boost program: a 'piggy banl' (part of your salary)where you can choose what to spend it on. Think of:
              • The choice to pay off €5,000 of your student debt every two years in a tax-friendly manner. 
              • You can also choose once every three years to invest in the sustainability of your home with solar panels, a heat pump, or insulation for a gross amount of up to €5,000.
              • We find your vitality very important: you can declare certain necessities and activities for physical and mental well-being from your gross salary (up to €1,250 per year).
              • Do you want to become a member of a union? This can be done in a tax-friendly manner.
              • You can also invest in KPN shares (with an extra 30% shares after 3 years) or deposit extra money into your pension plan. 
              • You can also use the Flex & Boost for extra salary or save for a paid sabbatical leave.
