Since when have you been working at KPN and how did you join the team?
"I've been working at KPN since 2017. I'm from Buenos Aires, where I studied information systems engineering, and I wanted to work in Europe. I was torn between London and Amsterdam. My Argentine friend Marcos convinced me to choose the Netherlands, where he also lives. Nowadays, he works with us in the team."
Why did you choose KPN?
"I had already had several job interviews when I was invited to interview at KPN. The interview went well, the people were very nice, and the offer was good enough. So, I chose KPN."
What makes your work interesting?
"There are many opportunities to come up with new solutions. We're expected to help the teams within our company with technology. Sometimes it's quite challenging, but still fun."

What are you proud of?
"It's great to see how teams implement our solution in their daily work. That they trust us and come to us with their questions. I'm also proud that our team contributes to the open-source community. We have our own projects and try to make them available to the community as much as possible, just as we also use software from them."
How do you continue to develop in your field?
"I mainly check various news feeds on social media for that. Occasionally, there's room for training, but it's not always necessary. Many open-source products are well-documented, and we prefer that over training. Only when we really need to dive deep into something, training is beneficial."
What’s next?
"I love programming and want to delve into the Rust programming language. Look into use cases and possibilities to implement it in KPN's production systems. Rust is much more reliable and faster than, for example, Python, which we also use."
