We are proud of our holiday and leave policy. No fixed number of vacation days, but the freedom and responsibility to take time off when you need it. You discuss with your manager and colleagues when and how much leave you take. We work from a foundation of trust and responsibility. A healthy work–life balance and your results are what matter most. This allows you to perform at your best and enjoy your free time!
You build up 8% holiday allowance, and 8.33% 13thmonth pay each month. This forms your budget for KPN FLEX & BOOST. You decide when to have your holiday allowance and part of your 13th month paid out. You can also use your budget for choices that matter to you. Participate in the KPN virtual share plan. Or choose a contribution towards the sustainability of your home or the purchase of your first sustainable home (max. €2,000 per year, €5,000 per 3 years). Use part of your budget to repay student loans (max. €2,000 per year), invest in your physical or mental wellbeing (max. €1,250 per year) or pay your union membership fees. You can also choose to save up for a paid sabbatical or to temporarily work fewer hours. Or use it for a contribution towards childcare costs (max. €1,000 per year) or for taxfriendly private use of your KPN Mobility Card.

You receive an Employability Budget of €1,500 each year, which you can use at your own discretion for training, coaching, or courses. You can also use it to pay tuition or course fees.
KPN offers a generous and sustainable travel allowance: the more sustainably you travel for work, the more you benefit! Travel by public transport is fully reimbursed and done with your KPN Mobility Card. Prefer cycling? Then we reimburse €0.40 per kilometre! If you travel by car, you receive €0.23 per kilometre.
Choose a KPN lease bike! It is sustainable. From city bike to ebike and from racing bike to speed pedelec: you choose what you ride. The monthly cost is deducted from your gross salary, and KPN contributes €15 per month. And your cycling kilometres are reimbursed at €0.40!
KPN offers extensive and inclusive leave arrangements. For example, we have birth leave for rainbow families and fully paid shortterm care leave and supplementary birth leave. You can also make use of transition leave.
