Are you an experienced Enterprise Architect with a passion for Cloud & Data Center strategies? At KPN's Technology Office you get the opportunity to play a crucial role in developing our Cloud & Data Center systems. As an Enterprise Architect Cloud & Data Center you are the expert in the field of strategy and architecture in this domain. Your responsibilities go further than technology alone; you oversee the big picture, from architecture to cost models, and you communicate clearly at various levels, from management to developer.

Your role as Enterprise Architect Cloud & Datacenters

In this role you are responsible for developing the Cloud & Data Center architecture, strategy and roadmaps. You translate external developments into strategic changes for KPN, you define the architecture and you draw up a high-level roadmap. You analyze the impact of these strategic changes and convince the senior management of their importance. In addition, you work closely with stakeholders to translate strategies into concrete programs and guidelines. Your tasks also encompass public procurement processes (RFX), in which you play a prominent role.

In this position:

You translate internal, external, technological and social developments into impact at the KPN Cloud & Data Center and you devise proposals for strategic changes.
You draw up the long-term strategy for the Cloud & Data Center network, and you define the architecture in broad terms, taking account of aspects such as engineering, costs, processes, organization and IT.
You assess the impact of the strategic change on processes, workforce, finances and value, and you convince the senior management (EVP/BoM) of its importance.
You work closely with the managers, architects and designers in the domain and you ensure that the strategy and architecture are implemented.

You are part of a team of eight architects, all of whom want to raise KPN's Cloud & Telecom infrastructure to a higher level. You work together to create the best Cloud & Telecom infrastructure in Europe. Your team is part of the Technology Office division. Our Technology Office, located in Zoetermeer, acts as an inspirational hub where new technological developments are translated into concrete strategies.

What will you bring us?

You are inquisitive, eager to learn and continually on the lookout for improvement opportunities. You have experience of Cloud & Data Centers, preferably in the area of strategy and architecture, cloud transformations and business cases.

You are regarded as a senior expert and are accustomed to sharing your findings with members of the Board of Management and the Executive Vice President (EVP). You are able to explain technical and other complexity in simple terms, you follow the needs of stakeholders and ask the right questions, so you can get everyone on board in this complex stakeholder landscape. You are good at making presentations, both in Dutch and in English. In short, you are a source of inspiration.

You also have:

the demonstrable ability to think in a manner befitting your university education.
at least ten years’ experience in architecture-related positions.
at least six years’ experience with cloud technology, data center networks and Telco applications.
the ability to reduce complex systems and cost structures to comprehensible models.
excellent communication skills, which enable you to take the lead in interdepartmental teams and stimulate other stakeholders such as developers, operators and executives.

A gross monthly salary in accordance with your personal employment contract on the basis of 40 hours
A fixed monthly expense allowance, of which € 70 is untaxed and € 66 is taxed
An incentive opportunity of 20% of your gross annual salary (STI)
You can take leave according to your own needs and responsibility towards the organisation, team and colleagues. This is to enable you to carry out your work in a physically and mentally healthy way. We expect you to take at least the statutory minimum of 20 days' holiday (for full-time employment) each calendar year

A set mobility budget per month
Excellent pension conditions: a total contribution of 23% of your pensionable salary of which KPN contributes 16% and you 7%.
If your pensionable salary exceeds the annual maximum pensionable salary, you will receive a monthly gross pension supplement of 11% on the gross annual salary above the maximum pensionable salary. In addition, you then have the option of voluntary participation in a net pension scheme.
