Your role as Senior Anaplan Model Builder

Within KPN financial, commercial and operational insights, together with a reliable forecast, are of great importance for the management of the company at group and segment level. We are currently modernizing this process with the implementation of our models on the Anaplan platform. For this transition and further (new) developments, we are looking for a model builder to strengthen our team.

Together with a team of model builders, you ensure that the existing forecast and planning models and processes of the business (mainly in Excel) are translated to Anaplan models and you spot opportunities to improve these models, from a technical, process and way-of-working perspective. The models are on an operational, tactical and strategical level. You will work closely together with the (management) stakeholders and your other Finance Insights & Analytics (FIA) colleagues.

As senior model builder you are expected:

to think along about the overall technical vision for Anaplan within KPN.
that you are also the person who has discussions with the business on how to make best use of Anaplan, by using the available functionalities of Anaplan and optimizing their business’s processes.
Furthermore, you assist the junior and medior model builders in their Anaplan journey.

More about your position

This is your team

The Forecasting team aims to support KPN in connected planning in order to improve forecasts, forecasting processes and decision making. The Forecasting team is part of Finance Insights & Analytics (FIA). Within FIA, +/- 40 developers, data scientists, data engineers, consultants, scrum masters and product owners work, spread over 5 scrum teams. Those 5 teams are, besides the Forecasting team, the Finance Analytics, Oracle Reporting, Data and Managed Dashboarding team. The forecasting team consists of a product owner, scrum master and 5 developers. We are a diverse international team.

For the position of model builder within Finance Insights & Analytics we are looking for:

A (certified) Master Anaplanner with extensive experience with building (financial) models
The ability to analyse (financial) processes and translate them into model features
The ability to challenge your stakeholders and team members in looking for the best solutions
You are motivated to share your knowledge and develop your colleagues, you can explain your solution in layman's terms
Knowledge of data models
Good command of the Dutch language is a strong pre for succesful and efficient communication with your stakeholders.
