Your Role as an Ethical Hacker

You look beyond the surface and naturally think like an attacker: how would you exploit a system, digitally or physically?
You enjoy CTFs, solving puzzles, and spend your spare time reverse engineering or playing on platforms like Hack The Box.
You analyze risks, perform real-world (authorized) attacks, and advise colleagues on how to strengthen their systems.

What You Bring to the Table

Experience with Python, Linux, Windows and networks.
Up-to-date knowledge of current attack methods and threats.
You love building your own tools to automate tasks.
You communicate your findings clearly, even to non-technical colleagues.
At least two years of experience as a penetration tester (but if you have less, don’t hesitate to apply, we value potential and willingness to learn!).
Certifications like OSCP/OSCE, and knowledge of OWASP, NIST, or CIS are a plus, but not required. Most importantly is enthusiasm and a strong desire to earn your OSCP certification. We care about your potential and commitment to learn.
Interest in mobile app security, cloud security, hacking hardware, or wireless protocols is great, the most important thing is your eagerness to learn!

Whether you come from a traditional IT background or bring a unique perspective, your fresh ideas and drive to grow are more important to us than a “perfect” CV.

What will you get from us

A gross monthly salary between €4.634 and €6.780 depending on your work experience, based on a 40-hour workweek.
This vacancy is for a 36-hour workweek.
An allowance of 10.5% of your gross monthly salary (including 8% holiday pay).
A variable bonus scheme of 7% corresponding to scale 10.
An annual individual and collective salary increase in accordance with our collective labor agreement (CAO).
Excellent opportunities for advancement and training, including a personal training budget. In fact, we expect you to keep developing yourself!
A good work-life balance (such as at least 1 day per week in the office and for the rest depending on what kind of test you are doing working from home or in the office, transition leave, and the option to swap a public holiday for one that matches your religious or cultural preference).
A home office allowance to optimally set up your workspace at home, including a mobile phone and laptop.
50% discount on KPN products and services, such as KPN internet.
Commuting allowance for travel to and from work: for example, our bicycle allowance of €0.40 per kilometer, or €0.23 per kilometer, or full compensation for 2nd class public transport. In addition, you receive a €10 monthly internet allowance and a home office allowance of €2.15 per day.
Excellent pension plan: a total contribution of 23% of your pensionable salary, of which KPN contributes 16% and you contribute 7%.

In 2026 (at the latest 1 November) we relocated to Fraijlemaborg 8 in Amsterdam.

For this job you need to live in the Netherlands or willing to move to the Netherlands.
